SVT Associates, Inc. (SVTA, www.svta.com) is seeking qualified candidates for open positions in research and development of novel III-V thin-films and devices:
Open position 1: We currently have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer in manufacturing of semiconductor and vacuum deposition equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, skill in CAD and experience in a test/development. Basic computer, Electro-mechanical skills and prototype machining are a plus.
Open Intern positions: We are currently looking for Students with the Field interest as an Assistant Computer/Electrical Engineer.
Activities may include: assistance in developing software using RS232, RS485, USB, TCP/IP and GPIB interfaces. This software is used to operate various Analog and Digital I/O hardware including microcontrollers, FPGA’s, and DAQ devices. Internship requirements: Junior Status or Higher in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, and fields such as Computer Science, Physics and Material Science will also be taken into consideration. Must be a program in an accredited college/university. Practical knowledge of Labview and Microsoft Visual C++ is required, along with basic computer skills and aptitude. Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks are appreciated.
